Simply put, the Egg Not is a squash tail version of our mid-length board, the eGG. With the increasing popularity of mid-length boards, we decided that it was more or less a given that we would offer a squash tail mid-length board. The squash tail offers a little more surface area, extends the rail line and has a more turnable feel than a roundtail. The Egg Not is a great board to have in your quiver. When the surf is average, you can catch the wave well and carry yourself through the sections, but the board is still loose enough to turn with ease. And when the surf gets a bit bigger, it still works amazingly well! The Egg Not has a moderate rocker at the front end of the board which aids paddling speed, catching waves and overall planing. The curve is slightly above average, which helps to tighten the arc of your turns without sacrificing speed. The thickness of the board is a little too thin for a board of this size. The thinner rails make it easier to push the board into the water and also help it to hold up better in bigger surf. The fin setup is your choice here. For a better riding experience, we recommend a 4-fin quad setup. If you're looking for a more cruisy or traditional feel, go for a 2 plus 1 setup.

TEC - TORQ EPOXY COMPOSITE Torq Epoxy Composite offers high performance shapes in our state of the art epoxy layup. These boards offer the best balance between lightness and durability. With our own unique lamination process we are able to use a very strong 6oz and 4oz fiberglass layup in a three layer deck and a two layer base (with a four layer rail overlap) with a high density EPS foam and still achieve a board weight equivalent to a lightweight fiberglass layup. The result is a light but very stable board with good flex characteristics and as with all torq's an excellent price/performance ratio.
