Surfboard RUSTY ACT Moby Fish 6.8 Quad
In 2005 I built my first 4-fin Moby. I had surfed it in the surf up to about 5 feet and really liked it. One day I thought the surf was pretty small, so I took my Moby to Blacks. Nothing else. I was very lucky to have a key. When I got down to the road, the surf looked just as I had imagined it would. Quite small, but clean. I put on my wetsuit, got the Moby out of the back of my truck and closed the hatch. I looked at the lineup. A solid 6-foot set. Fuck Well, it was the only board I had with me, so off I went.
On my first wave I fell, thinking I really needed to pull the reins back. No. The board took off like a bat out of hell. There was no end to the top. A few waves later, I was totally sold on this design and its versatility.
It soon became very popular, some of my good friends had this board. Interestingly, their sons, some of the best LJ reef surfers, tried it out and wouldn't give it back. They ordered duplicates. Not smaller, slimmer versions. The same boards. They actually rode them on the bigger days.
Because of its size, it's a great board for beginners and a good alternative to a longboard. As it turned out, it is suitable for all skill levels and surfers. The entry rocker is moderate, which helps when paddling. The exit rocker is more average, which helps with turning and blends in better with the waves. The fuller outline offers a lot of surface area: planing and speed. The rails are fuller, but a little edgier with a lower apex that provides lift and control.
If I only had one board, this would be it. Pure fun.

Torq ACT Prepreg Construction:
From race cars to racing yachts, the highest performing composites are made and processed from pre-preg materials. It is the pinnacle of composite technology.
Through years of working with epoxy surfboards, developing and testing pre-preg materials, we have developed the world's first EPS / epoxy pre-preg surfboard. This is a significant advance in surfboard technology. The term pre-preg describes a material in which the resin is mechanically pre-impregnated under control. Pre-preg composites are cured under heat and high pressure. Baking ensures a much stronger hardening of the resin. The effects on surfboards are numerous - more accuracy, less waste, perfect reproduction - but the biggest advantage lies in the performance of the main factors in relation to each other: flex and strength to weight.
